Walking on the coast at St Monans

The first blog post is about a few photos I took during a day out with my family a couple days ago. We decided to go for a walk, somewhere we have not been. Suggested by a website, the coastal trail between Elie and Pittenweem looked promising, we have spent some time in St Monans.

The place was quiet and empty. There is a certain dream-like character to many Scottish coastal villages. You wonder where all the people are, only seagulls haunting for bits of food. We took a short walk along the coast from the harbour to the ruins of the Newark Castle.
